Cookie Policy

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains exactly what browser storage mechanisms Tuesday Riot LLC (operating under the registered assumed name imYou, Tuesday Riot LLC d/b/a imYou) uses on our website and in imYou ("the Service"), and why. We use the minimum storage necessary to operate the Service.

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser, typically used for authentication and session management. They are sent back to the server on each request.

Local Storage (including localStorage and IndexedDB) is browser-native storage that stays on your device and is never automatically transmitted anywhere. It is distinct from cookies and is not sent to servers.

2. Authentication Cookies: Essential

We use Supabase for authentication. When you log in, Supabase sets session cookies on your device to keep you signed in. These cookies contain session authentication tokens for authentication purposes.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them you cannot log in or access your account. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using the Service.

These cookies are managed by Supabase and are subject to their privacy policy. They do not contain your personal profile, writing data, or any content from your sessions.

3. Local Storage: Preference

We store your selected display theme (imYou, Dark, or Light) in your browser's localStorage under the key "imyou-theme". This is a single string value and contains nothing personal.

This data never leaves your device. It is not a cookie and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

4. IndexedDB: Personal Profile and Chat Data

The core of the Service, your personal profile, chat history, and conversation data, is stored in your browser's IndexedDB under a local database name. This is local-only storage that never leaves your device.

This data is never transmitted to our servers. It is not a cookie. It exists solely on your device and is under your complete control. You can export it, edit it, or delete it at any time from within the Service.

5. Analytics: None

We do not use analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, or any other analytics or tracking service. We collect no data about how you navigate the Service, how long you spend on any page, or how you interact with features.

The one exception is our affiliate referral tracking, which runs on our public landing page only and is described in Section 6. It exists to credit a partner for a referral, not to study your behaviour, and it never runs on any page where you write, train, or chat.

If we ever add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and notify you before doing so.

6. Payment and Affiliate Referral Cookies

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. When you go to check out you are taken to a checkout page hosted by Lemon Squeezy, and cookies set during that step are set by Lemon Squeezy on its own domain, under its privacy policy, to run the transaction securely and prevent fraud. We do not set payment cookies ourselves, and we do not read the ones Lemon Squeezy sets.

We run an affiliate programme, where partners who recommend imYou earn a commission if someone signs up through their link. To make that work, our public landing page loads a tracking script provided by Lemon Squeezy. If you arrive through an affiliate link, that script sends the referral code, the page address, and the address of the site you came from to Lemon Squeezy, and stores an identifier in a cookie named "ls_aff_ref" so the referral can still be credited when you subscribe later.

You should know that this script also generates a device fingerprint: it reads characteristics of your browser and device to build an identifier that recognises this device on a return visit, without needing a cookie. This is a form of tracking, and we would rather tell you plainly than bury it. Lemon Squeezy uses it to tell genuine referrals apart from fraudulent ones.

This script runs ONLY on our public landing page. It is not present anywhere inside the app itself, so it is never running on any page where you build your profile, train, chat, or write. It has no access to your profile, your writing, or your chat history, none of which ever leave your device except as part of the request that generates your text.

If you would rather not be included, blocking third-party scripts or clearing cookies for imyou.ai will stop it. Nothing about the Service stops working if you do; the only consequence is that a partner who referred you will not be credited.

7. Third-Party Storage

Supabase sets authentication cookies described in Section 2. Their privacy policy governs how they handle session data.

Anthropic processes writing requests server-side via API. Anthropic does not set any cookies or storage on your device.

Cloudflare Turnstile, the anti-bot check on our sign-up, sign-in, and password-reset forms, may set its own storage in your browser to verify that you are a real visitor. It is strictly necessary for security: without it we cannot protect those forms from automated abuse. It does not track you across other websites.

Lemon Squeezy sets the affiliate referral cookie and device fingerprint described in Section 6, on our public landing page only.

No other third parties set cookies or storage through the Service.

8. Managing Your Storage

Authentication cookies can be cleared by logging out, which instructs Supabase to invalidate your session, or by clearing cookies for imyou.ai (and tuesdayriot.com if you signed in there) in your browser settings.

localStorage and IndexedDB data can be cleared through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings. Clearing IndexedDB will delete your personal profile and chat history from your device. This cannot be undone unless you have exported a backup.

9. Do Not Track

We do not use tracking of any kind, so Do Not Track (DNT) signals have no effect on our behavior. We collect only what is listed in this policy regardless of your DNT setting.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy when our storage practices change. Any material change, such as introducing analytics or payment processing, will be communicated by email before it takes effect.
